If you’re more in the market for a laser, you’ll want to check out Fotona (booth No. 4009). The company’s LightWalker ATS dual wavelength (Er:YAG and Nd:YAG) laser has revolutionized dentistry with treatments that are often more efficient, more effective and more satisfying to patients and practitioners than ever before. LightWalker lasers provide an extensive range of clinical applications tailored to numerous dental applications, including restorative dentistry, endodontics, implantology, periodontics, soft-tissue surgery, pediatric dentistry, holistic dentistry and facial esthetics. In addition to traditional dental procedures, the LightWalker opens up a broad spectrum of innovative treatment possibilities, encompassing airway enhancement and facial esthetics. With today’s dentistry diving headfirst into more and more 3-D printed restorations for full arch and single units, many 3-D printer companies are in turn coming out with new and updated 3-D printer “ceramic” resins with up to and beyond 55 percent ceramic fill, all of them with a different chemistry. The push to develop restorative cements capable of integrating with these new technologies while work- ing with current existing technologies is imperative. TAUB Products has developed a new line of cements that focuses on superior adhesion, specifically for the 3-D printing and milling revolution. TAUB is introducing ENERGY CTZ Cements, chemically formulated to bond 3-D “ceramic” printing resins, 3-D milled zirconia, 3-D milled titanium and tooth structure. Two versions of ENERGY are available, CTZ1 and CTZ3, and you can find both at booth No. 2908. Finally, Designs for Vision (booths No. 3530) has several new and innovative products, including Infinity VUE, Panoramic Field and REVEAL. Designed to provide a straightforward approach to ergonomics, Infinity VUE loupes are available in 3.0x and 3.5x magnification. Infinity VUE (Vision Up Ergonomics) keeps your chin up, your neck straight and your eyes forward while viewing the magnified oral cavity. Designs for Vision invites you to try these loupes on to see (and feel) the difference in your posture. You can find all these products, and more, in the GNYDM exhibit hall, which is open until 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, giving you plenty of time to check out all the aisles and bring home your favorite finds. Secondary decay is the main factor for the failure of restorations.1 Giomer Technology can release and recharge six different beneficial ions. Together, these ions have been clinically proven to inhibit plaque, neutralize acid and prevent secondary decay, combining bioactive and therapeutic benefits not available in competitive products. An eight-year independent clinical study recorded a 100 percent retention rate, no secondary caries, no failures and no postoperative sensitivity. 2 As stated by Dr. Gordon ChrisAD Here in New York To learn more about Shofu’s bioactive Giomer Technology products, stop by booth No. 4407. Giomer Technology restoratives offer picture-perfect esthetics. The nano-hybrid-sized particles provide the high level of polishability dentists have come to expect in today’s premium restorative materials. Its unique filler structure gives Giomer restoratives the light transmission and diffusion properties of dentin and enamel to blend well with surrounding dentition without the complex layering techniques required by many competitors. Shofu Dental knows that the price of bioactive and therapeutic Giomer products has to be affordable for all dentists, especially those who treat the underserved. To that goal, Giomer products are usually 30 percent less expensive than many name-brand competitors. With more than 60 years of experience in laser technology, Fotona’s award-winning LightWalker dental laser systems are leading the dental industry with unrivaled precision, performance and versatility. LightWalker lasers provide an extensive range of clinical applications tailored to numerous dental applications, covering: • Restorative dentistry • Endodontics • Implantology • Periodontics • Soft-tissue surgery • Pediatric dentistry • Holistic dentistry • Facial esthetics and more Endodontic professionals appreciate that the LightWalker is able to navigate complex root anatomy, allowing for more efficacious cleaning and all with no consumables. By using synchronized pairs of ultrashort pulses, an accelerated collapse of laser-induced bubbles is achieved, leading to enhanced shockwave emission even inside the narrowest root canals. A major advantage of SWEEPS lies in the easy positioning of the cavitation source (the laser emitting fiber-tip) in the pulp chamber, at a safe distance from the apical terminus. This position permits simultaneous irrigation in all of the endodontic geometry, independently of the root canal anatomy and without the risk of apical extrusion. “The Fotona LightWalker laser system is a state-of-the-art laser technology system that has been a great addition to my practice. It added an extra dimension to endodontic procedures performed on daily basis. Offering dual wavelengths (Nd-YAG & Er-YAG), different applications in non-surgical and surgical endodontics can be performed. Procedures such as acoustic streaming, hemostasis and photo-biomodulation (to accelerate healing) are few of the examples of the diversity of applications with the Fotona laser system,” said Dr. Mohamed Fayad. By treating the entire oral cavity, these procedures can tighten and lift the nasolabial folds, lip lines, jowls and cheeks, effectively reversing the signs of aging in many cases. In the case of LipLase, the laser delivers targeted heat pulses into the mucosa of the lips, stimulating new collagen formation and resulting in fuller, more defined, and enhanced lips. “After many years of practicing restorative dentistry, I noticed that after delivering beautiful smile makeovers, my patients would look in the mirror and point to wrinkles and say ‘I hate this.’ The Fotona LightWalker has given me many options for facial rejuvenation, ‘turning back the clock,’ with both intra-oral and extraoral options to help our patients look better, feel better and complete that cosmetic make over,” said Dr. Harvey Shiffman.
