Clinicians can virtually extract
teeth, adjust photorealistic abutments and crowns, and create an
automated surgical guide that can be
sent to a lab or produced in-house for
same-day delivery.
“We were able to implement the
OP 3D EX quickly and start taking
scans largely due to the included DTX
Studio Clinic software,” Dr. Nicholas
Varney of Varney Dental said.
“Once we got going, we found
that so much of the work involved
in prepping a 3-D scan for confident
diagnosis was done by the software
automatically. DTX Studio Clinic has
improved how we work in all aspects

FDA clearance for root canal cleaning device
using saline water as main debridement medium
n Odne has announced that it has
received clearance from the U.S.
Food & Drug Administration for its
endodontic debridement device,
OdneClean. The FDA regulates such
devices as class II medical devices,
which are subject to premarket notification via the 510(k) pathway.
OdneClean offers a novel approach
to root canal disinfection, simplifying and accelerating the process. It
creates a hydro-dynamic cavitation
cloud inside the root canal using only
saline solution (sodium chloride) as
