I
t’s been a jam-packed few days here
at the American Dental Hygienists’
Association’s 95th Annual Conference.
With two full days of seminars and
hands-on workshops on Thursday and
Friday, along with the third In-Motion:
5K Run, Walk, Fun to raise funds in support of the mission of the Institute for
Oral Health, the exhibit hall opened its
doors on Friday, allowing attendees to
check out the aisles of new products and
technology designed specifically to help
those in the hygiene profession.
Today, however, while the same opportunities for learning and developing
your hygiene skills are still available, it is
the last chance to do so. The exhibit hall
is open only until 3 p.m., and sessions
will end not long after that.
None of this means, though, that you
still can’t fit a lot in.
On tap are sessions on engaging patients to improve oral health, tips to
being an influencer in your practice,
caring for patients with advanced implantsupported prosthesis, learning about oral
health and homeopathic trends and even
a Ted-style talk on sparking your passion.
You can also find an array of exhibitors
in the exhibit hall, many offering a great
number of show specials or free samples.
There are also mini-presentations at the
Career Center, a Headshot Lounge sponsored by Dentsply Sirona and a relaxation station sponsored by Brasseler. Stop
by booth No. 238 to pick up a coupon for
a free massage.

Making the world smile again
T
here’s no better way to start
the morning than with laughter — unless that laughter also
comes with 1 C.E. credit.
This morning, from 8 to 9:45 a.m., you
can get both those things by attending
the 2018 General Session Keynote featur-
ing Michael Jr.
An actor in the box office hit “War
Room” and a comedian who has appeared
on such late-night shows as “The Tonight
Show,” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, Michael Jr. always delivers the funny.
Recently, Michael Jr. was awarded a
Dove Award by the Gospel Music Association for outstanding comedian of the
year.
However, his talents don’t end there.
Michael Jr. has also authored a children’s
book, “The Parts We Play,” made his directorial debut with “The Road Less Trav-
eled” and has worked on a new documentary/small group video study “The No
Show Comedy Show.”
There is no charge to attend the keynote session.

advanced photonic design that provides
uniform light distribution with maximum intensity.
The patent-pending headlights optically focus the light from the LED to provide 45 percent more light with uniform
distribution.
The new LED DayLite® Micro HDi™
combines the new high-definition
imaging with a very lightweight
headlight in combination with the new
Micro power pack, according to the company, which says the Micro power pack
is the lightest and smallest available. The
complete unit includes two power packs,
and each power pack can run up to
10 hours.
Designs for Vision has also added
the high-definition imaging to LED
DayLite WireLess Mini HDi, providing
a lightweight, cordless solution with
light intensity comparable to many

signs uncouple the headlights from a
specific frame or single pair of loupes.
